Brig Sliker

Brig Sliker, 2024 alumni of Benjamin Logan High School in Bellefontaine Ohio, is going into her second year of studying music education at Columbus Ohio’s Capital University. Here, she studies her primary instrument, classical piano, under Steinway Artist Dr. Tianshu Wang. Brig has been playing piano for 12 years, first learning from Shirley McPherson from ages 7-18. Since then she has learned bass, guitar, drums, and much of the woodwind family. Brig has been involved in countless performances which include recitals, concerts; accompaniments to choirs, various voices and instruments; and various rock, pop, Christian, and jazz bands and combos.

In her time playing music, Brig has also cultivated a love of teaching. In her time working as a teacher’s assistant at Chambers Music Studio in Bexley and freelance lesson teacher, she has taught from kindergarteners to senior citizens to begin mastering their craft. She is currently employed as a camp instructor at School of Rock in Mason.
